Meet the Baker

Hi there! I’m Lauren and I am the founder of Kindness Through Cookies! I am also a wife, daughter, dog mom, and Yorktown native. If you’ve ever stopped by one of our markets or have picked up a custom order, chances are you’ve probably met my husband, Brett (KTC salesman and cookie taste tester) or my mom, Susan (cookie dough maker extraordinaire). KTC wouldn’t exist without them!

 

As for me, I am a full time physical therapist who unexpectedly developed a passion for baking and decorating custom cookies a few years ago (probably the result of watching way too many shows on the Food Network Channel haha). While dealing with some personal struggles, I discovered that I found joy in learning this new skill and being able to spread kindness to others through the cookies that I made. I also realized along the way the importance of being kind to myself, too (something that I think we all need to be reminded of). What started as a new hobby has now grown over the past few years into more than I ever could have imagined! I am so grateful for all of my customers, and can’t wait to make a batch of cookies for you!
